BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Eileen P. Stanczak
Eileen P. Stanczak currently serves as Chair and Treasurer of the Board of Directors at Carolina Collaborative Prep. Eileen and her husband Jeff moved to Charlotte in 2010 in pursuit of a school that provided evidence-based approaches for their son, who is on the autism spectrum.
She served on the Board of Directors of Global Environment Fund in Washington, DC, the Virginia Institute of Autism, in Charlottesville, VA and The Autism Horizon Foundation, here in Charlotte, NC.
Her previous experience includes working at a private equity fund where she coordinated compliance matters relating to business operations, investor reporting, relationship management and oversaw the design and implementation of the company’s ESOP Plan. She then transitioned into the role of consultant and administrator for an ESOP and 401(k) company and held the QPA and QKA designations from ASPPA. For the last 14 years, she has used her skills in business and relationships to tirelessly fundraise for Special Needs and Autism schools and programs.
Eileen is a graduate of Smith College where she earned her BA in Political Science.
Kristine Roy currently serves as Secretary for Carolina Collaborative Prep. Kristine and her family moved to Waxhaw in 2012, from Connecticut at the request of her husband’s employer, Collins Aerospace. Kristine spent 25 years in the real estate investment, management and sales industry, helping to build 2 businesses from the ground up. By 2008, they’d adopted two toddlers; 1 with neurological disorders and learning differences. Focus shifted towards the needs of their young children, with countless hours being spent researching alternative treatments and therapies for their young daughter.
She has made it her life’s mission to help other families find resources and support for their children with similar needs. Kristine brings a strong knowledge of small business management to the Board of Directors. She and her family enjoy boating, camping hiking, travel and more recently, the newly formed Special Olympics swim team of Union County.
Lisa Rivera is the Director of Carolina Collaborative Prep. With over 20 years of experience teaching in both classrooms and one-on-one tutoring, she developed a new way of teaching that allows students who struggle to have success through multi-sensory learning.
Her passion is to prove that children with any type of learning difficulty can thrive in school and have confidence as they approach high school, college, and their own careers. It all started when one of her daughters struggled to grasp the standard teaching methods and was later discovered to be dyslexic. As a result, Lisa embarked on a quest to discover all-inclusive, effective, and fun teaching methods for students who struggle in traditional classrooms... and has found great success.
After receiving her training in Orton Gillingham, Lisa wrote a series of workbooks and recently published the first edition, an interactive phonics workbook, “The Spellings of Long Vowels.”
